At the Gorny Foundation, we see it as our foremost duty to “stand up for ideals” and become active participants of goodness in the world, particularly, in the communities in which we live. This foundation, which is a direct result of this sense of duty, stands as our vehicle to actively engage in the good causes that we are so passionate about.

Throughout my career in the world of technology, Bill Gates has been a personal source of admiration for his success and achievements, in his professional life and in his remarkable philanthropic endeavors. Given my background, also in this world of technology, I believe similar to the Gates Foundation that innovation is the key to improving the world in the commercial and philanthropic sectors. Hence, our foundation is engaged in programs that present such innovations that aim to make a difference in the world, within the structure of organized institutions or within the framework of individual initiatives. Subsequently, our core values consist of the following:

A deep commitment to Health Research
We firmly believe that the productivity of man relies greatly on his health. Therefore, we participate in projects that are committed to advancing research in a variety of medical fields, with the ultimate goal of helping people live healthy and productive lives.

A deep commitment to Global Advocacy:
Central to our foundation is the fundamental value to treat all people with respect. We believe that humanity’s richness lies in its diversity. Hence, we are committed to partnering with Global Advocacy organizations that understand and influence public policy and educate mutual respect and understanding among people of all milieus and backgrounds.

A deep commitment to Education:
Our youth is our future. Investing in our youth is therefore investing in the future. We are committed to partnering with organizations that shape the future of our youth into a shining force of morals, goodness and excellence. We are particularly committed to educational initiatives that reach out to all Jews, regardless of background, with an emphasis on those who are so-called assimilated.

A deep commitment to the Jewish State:
We are committed to helping organizations that fight anti-Semitism through education and advocacy, and help ensure the long-term outlook and sustainability of the Jewish nation and the Jewish state of Israel.

A deep commitment to the Jewish People:
Our mission is to help bolster the growth of communities by investing in organizations that encourage greater participation in communal life. We also invest in organizations that encourage those of the Jewish faith toward greater commitment to Jewish observance by increasing the understanding, appreciation and practice of Jewish values and traditions.

In addition to the aforementioned values, we will consider applications that demonstrate fresh and out-of-the-box thinking that leads to viable solutions to the specific challenges that they seek to overcome.
